Europe's energy transition is among the greatest challenges of our time. Its goal: To make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 at the latest. The Netherlands and Germany have therefore set themselves ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy: as early as 2030, Germany and the Netherlands want to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the European powerhouse North Sea will play in this a crucial role. TenneT guarantees that this energy will reach the mainland - and in the most environmentally friendly way possible. That is why we have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach. And thus increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.

Solution Architect PAAS.

As Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) teams we continuously develop and improve our on-premise, cloud-native platform for the critical applications of TenneT and are looking for a seasoned DevOps / cloud-native Solution Architect to strengthen our team.

Our mission is to truly enable TenneT DevOps teams to build/run/love their critical applications with full autonomy and maximum focus on delivering their value by offering one cloud-native, self-service platform to develop, test, build, deploy, monitoring & maintain applications. 

To make these ambitions our reality we think we offer a nice challenge in which you can actively contribute to the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Solution Architect at our location Arnhem who will contribute to this and that might be you?
Your contribution to TenneT
As a solution architect together with our DevOps teams, our other solution architect and domain architect you lead the shaping of the architecture of the PaaS cloud-native landscape. 

You design the solution architecture for PaaS services within the boundaries of the domain and enterprise architecture. You are good in involving stakeholders to draw up (supported) advice and are able to communicate this effectively. 

As the main contact person for the solution being designed, it is important that you can easily share and transfer knowledge and bring colleagues along when changes occur.s Solution Architect you are responsible for:
• You are (from a content perspective) responsible for the solution architecture;
• You are involved with arranging/overseeing the DTAP and development of needed building blocks;
• You are involved in EU tender selection processes;
• You have an advisory role to IT domain and enterprise architects;
• You are the main contact person for external suppliers for infrastructure and/or software, project members and service delivery;
• You are responsible for documentation and visualization of architectural designs. 

• TenneT would like to receive the CV's in English.
• Minimum of bachelor degree at working and thinking level with at least 5 years demonstrable experience with the above mentioned activities;
• Communication skills, persuasiveness and organizational sensitivity; able to find the common interest;
• Creative, proactive, solution-oriented and self-organizing work attitude;
• Experience as architect in a DevOps and cloud-native environment;
• Knowledge of and experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DYA etc. is preferred;
• Knowledge of and experience with the Archimate modelling language.
